This Ersari Turkmen ensi (engsi) is a fine example of turkmen weaving. Ensis were used as the doorflaps of "Yurts", or round tents. The ensi is the "welcome mat" of central asia. This piece has a fantastic natural abrash (from purple/red to brown/purple). Shortened on one end. Good overall condition.
