I don't know what I can say about this antique Heriz/Serapi carpet, except that it is beautifully imperfect . It has unintended color abrash all over the place and shows signs of being woven by 2 weavers (note the diagonal slope separating the red and coral in the main field). This is the only Serapi I have ever seen with the color purple in it. The photo does not presently do it justice. It has since undergone a restoration and is in  good condition. The only visable repair is a small 2 inch * 2 inch hole in 1 corner.
